Peter Njoroge is Not Giving Up His Dream of Becoming a Teacher

Meet Peter Njoroge, first-born son to Mr. Kenneth Mwangi. He’s from a single-parent home, raised with his father alone after his mother suffered depression, and walked away never to be found again. The memories of her mother are still fresh in Peter’s head and her departure had a negative impact on entire the family.

Unfortunately, Peter’s father was involved in a car accident that left him with dislocated hip joint. Due to the pain and discomfort, Mr. Kenneth Mwangi is unable to engage in any meaningful income generating activity, leaving Peter in charge of taking care of him and his sister, Njeri.

Njeri is a sister to Peter and a mother of two children, who were rescued and now beneficiaries of Tumaini Mission Center.

Peter completed his high school education in the year 2013 and he managed to score a mean grade of B-. A grade that qualifies him join university and advance his education. However, the chains of poverty could not allow him to proceed and that made him really bitter and frustrated. He has even lost hope of ever becoming a teacher by profession and currently hustling his way through life.

Currently, he is working at a nearby quarry to feed his family. Daraja 360 has stepped in to see to it that this young man is supported all through until he become stable with a sustainable skill. This will go a long way to support his aged father and mentally unfit sister, and ending the cycle of poverty.
