Vulnerable children, youth & PWDS living in Nakuru County lack access to education due to high rates of poverty resulting to societal problems like school drop-outs, crime, drugs and substance, early marriages and pregnancies & lack of employment and entrepreneurship prospects.
At Daraja 360, we believe that every child, regardless of their background, ethnic group, gender, or race, has a constitutional right to basic education. Our mission is to bridge the educational gap for vulnerable students, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to thrive academically and beyond.
Our Initiatives 1. Scholarship Fund
We provide scholarships to bright students in need. These funds cover tuition fees, textbooks, and other essential educational expenses.
By investing in these students, we empower them to pursue their dreams and break the cycle of poverty.
4. Linkages and Referrals:
We connect youth to vocational training institutes and apprenticeship opportunities. By doing so, we enable them to gain practical skills and prepare for the workforce.
Our network of partners ensures that students have access to relevant training and job placement services.
2. Parental Support
Many students lack the necessary parental guidance and encouragement. We step in to fill this gap by offering mentorship and emotional support throughout their academic journey.
Our staff works closely with parents and guardians to ensure that students receive the encouragement they need to succeed.
3. Mentorship Programs:
We believe that mentorship is crucial for personal and academic growth. Through our mentorship programs, we guide students through their basic education.
Our mentors help students explore career pathways, set goals, and build essential life skills.
