Investing in the Future of Nakuru County

As a community-based organization operating in Nakuru, we recognized that there are many vulnerable women, youths and PWDs without skills or employment prospects to make a living for themselves and their families, causing some to despair and resulting to a range of societal issues such as drug and substance abuse, hopelessness, early pregnancies and lack of employment prospects.

Daraja 360 economic empowerment hub is a social enterprise dedicated to empower these groups with essential life skills and technical expertise in sewing, entrepreneurship, and digital proficiency to lead decent and sustainable lives.

Program Goals

  • Scaling up the program in production, sale & distribution of corporate school uniforms and fabrics. By doing so, we aim to.
  • Generate more revenue while empowering vulnerable women, youth, and persons with essential life skills and technical expertise in sewing, entrepreneurship, and digital proficiency.
  • Integrate women & youths into Daraja Enterprise, connecting them with job opportunities, or incubating their business ideas for sustainable livelihoods.

Partnership with the County Government of Nakuru

In collaboration with the County Government of Nakuru through the Directorate of Youth Affairs, we are privileged to operate a textile hub. This hub trains and equips women with fashion design and cloth-making skills. The facility boasts 54 machines, including specialized sewing machines such as overlock, buttonhole, and attach machines. Currently, we focus on producing high-quality corporate and school uniforms.
